VideoRun FAQ
Question: How does it work?
Answer: The VideoRun software uses the Garmin ANT+ USB stick to connect directly to the heartrate belt and footpod. It uses pace values from the footpod to play a running track video at the exact same pace. Both the heartrate and pace values are displayed realtime at the top of the workout screen.
Question: Is it available for retail clients?
Answer: No, not yet. We are still testing the software to get it bug free and to see if it will run on any PC. The current version of the software is now being tested in the professional fitness branche, preinstalled on a Windows Vista PC. We do need runners that volunteer to be Beta testers for the VideoRun retail edition. Contact us if you like being first.
Question: Can I track my personal records?
Answer: Yes, you can set personal records for 6 distances.
Question: Can I add movies?
Answer: Yes you can and we encourage you tot do so! Go to the movies page for more information.
Question: Does it work with other ANT+ Sport sensors?
Answer: Yes it will work with any ANT+Sport speed or heartrate sensor. Please note that Suunto has chosen to manage their own ANT+ network, so their equipment will not work with our software (yet).
Question: Will my Nike+ sensor work with your software?
Answer: No, not yet. We are still trying to get Nike in, any help in that area is welcome ...
Question: Do you supply statistics after the run?
Answer: No. After the run we only show you the basic data of the run and the data isn't stored. If you would like to keep track of you running progress, we recommend you buy a complete Garmin ANT+Sport Forerunner set. The watch will store the running data for you (both indoor and outdoor) and you'll have the statistics available via Garmin Connect.
Question: Will it run on Linux / Apple?
Answer: Not yet, at current it runs on Windows Vista and we are working on Windows XP.
Question: Do I need a powerful computer?
Answer: No, but we recommend a PC with a separate video card to get optimal display of the tracks.
