We need more entertainment!
We want to ship VideoRun with at least five movies. The current movies we made ourself are not professional material, to put it mildly.
"Not enough movies", "wrong place", "poor quality" you might say ... So why don't you step up to the plate?
We are looking for runners that know the perfect track and can handle a handy cam. Make your own track movie and we will publish it for you. If the movie turns out to be very populair, we'll make sure you make some money on it.
Contact us if you think this is you!
We do have some rules:
- - Movie should be made at an constant speed, close to 20 km / 13 miles per hour
- - The track covered should be at least 5 km / 3 miles.
- - Of course no offensive or stolen material.
- - Keep your eye on the traffic.
- - Be original.
- - Have fun doing it.
Bonus feature:
VideoRun also allows for pictures to be shown, while the movie is running. This way you can point out nice buildings, art or a bridge, etc. So if you have the possibility, take some pictures and write down where you took them along the track (the distance in miles/km down the track). It's also nice to show a map of the track and to show the progress each km/mile. You can use the picture feature for this also.
We used a tracking GPS while making a video, which makes it a lot easier to do.
Movie making FAQ:
Question: Are you looking for trails and hills or just different streets and roads?
Answer: Doesn't matter, as long as you think people will like watching it, will get motivated to run through it. We are not going to guide you on that, we are sure that you'll find some interesting and nice looking tracks.
Question: Do you want them to be ran and video taken or can you walk?
Answer: We've tried making a movie while walking, but it's no good. We have also tried fixing the cam on a bike, which is better, but still shows a lot of movement sideways. We got the best results using the sticky-pod on the dashboard.
Question: Do you need a certain pace?
Answer: Movie should be made at a constant speed. This can range from 5 to 20 km/h (that's 3 to 12 miles/h), as long as you keep a constant speed. We've used a car and drove 20 km / 13 miles per hour.
If you have to stop (like with red trafic lights), best is to stop the video, backup your car 20 yards and restart the video. At home you can "blend/fade" the video together using a video editing tool (like Windows movie maker).
